DESIGN YOUR DESTINATION ... at the KISJ High School Library

The High school library is open to everyone during school days.

Please be aware that the library is a shared facility and other people also use this space, therefore your respect and courtesy is requested.

Library Hours

  • OPENS: 8:00 am
  • CLOSES: 5:00 pm

Library Summer Hours: Usually 9-5, depending on vacation days.

Expectations for use of the Library

  • Quiet Zone: The library is a quiet place.  If you need to speak, please whisper
  • Keep it tidy:  Push in your chairs, pick up your belongings and put all rubbish in the bins
  • Student Bags:  Do not leave your bags unattended.  If leaving the library, take your belonging with you
  • No food, no open drinks, no gum.

Loan Periods for Students

  • Books, magazines, DVDs -  up to seven (7) items for two weeks (14 days)
  • Equipment: Same day loan only - must be returned by 4:30

Borrowing

  • It is important that you "check-out" any item that you want to take away from the library
  • Taking something without borrowing it creates problems as others may also need that item; therefore, we need to know where it is.
  • You MUST bring your Student I.D. card to borrow library materials.
